Each level of our Adult Swim Program includes five core skills. During each lesson, instructors work on progression toward one or more skills based on the swimmer’s needs, goals, and abilities.
Our 45-minute lessons are structured to maximize learning and retention through focused instruction, repetition, and skill-refinement. You may see extended work on fundamentals such as floating, breathing-control, body-position, or stroke-technique. These skills are essential for building confidence, safety, and efficiency in the water.
The goals almost never are learned in order. This means if you accomplish the second goal on the list, it doesn’t necessarily mean you have completed goal one. Every student learns differently, and our focus is to see at least one progression each visit, no matter which goal it is.
Each one of the five goals has three to seven progressions in order to help you build the skills needed to master each of the five skills. Although this sounds like a lot, don’t worry, multiple progressions can happen in one lesson!
The focus is to create muscle memory and retention for the best and fastest results.
Comfort and Confidence
It is normal for adults to experience hesitation or anxiety at times. Our instructors adjust instruction as needed to support comfort and confidence, recognizing that both are critical to long-term progress.
