It is part of the British Swim School program to not use any assistive equipment for students in water survival levels. We are teaching water safety skills to students in these levels and want to make sure they know what to do in a real life emergency situation. In most emergency situations, swimmers are not wearing goggles, floating devices, or swim flippers.
Once a student graduates to Turtle 2, our beginner stroke development class, they will be swimming more frequently with their head underwater; at that point, we allow goggles as we work on their stroke skills.
Goggles may be purchased on deck.
